Meeting my sister...

This post is slightly delayed, but hey... Its eventually up :)

The day finally arrived for me to meet my sister - Sandy :) It was the 29th June and we counted down the days and months till it finally arrived!

We were all extremely nervous and excited at the same time. Waiting patiently to be able to go to the airport and fetch Sandy. The time finally arrived and we decided we would have a bite to eat at the Spur while we wait not realizing that the Spur at the airport closes at 20:00! Have you ever! We then went down and got coffee and yummy sandwiches at the Woolies. Sitting outside eating, drinking and having a smoke we giggled and joked. The time arrived for us to head inside and wait.

Sandy walked through the door and to all our relief was safe and sound. It had been a 48 hour journey for her and her poor feet had suffered! We all said hello with big hugs and kisses. I can't say how everyone else felt, but I was overjoyed at finally being able to see my sister in person instead of through a computer screen. We headed to Mom's where lots of coffee, tea and water were drunk. We all talked and talked and talked. It felt as if we had known each other all our lives!

The next week was filled with lots of laughs, emotions and fun times. Everyone experienced it differently. The weather was not always pleasant but we made the best of it. Sandy stayed with us some of the time and the rest of the time with Mom. She met a few of my friends. We travelled in Cape Town from Camps Bay to Hout Bay to Boulders. It was a long trip but it was definitely worth it. We met some of Sandy's family and heard a lot about her growing up.

I am very grateful to have found such a wonderful person who is so similar to me that it is sometimes scary! We look alike, we talk alike, we are alike. We all bonded and became so close while Sandy was here!

I can't tell you how either Sandy or my mom feel, but life has been totally enriched having had Sandy come into my life. Everything always happens for a reason!

Other than that, Dee and I have been staying in our flat for almost a year and she is still working at the Ocean Basket in Glen Garry. There have been good times and bad times, but that is what life is all about. We are good as always and I wouldn't trade my life with her for anything in the world! She truly makes me happy and that is all that matters!

Mom and Greg: Mom is working at Coslab. This is for the same people she started working for 22 odd years ago I think we worked out. Its funny how life turns out. She is thoroughly enjoying it and that is a good place for her to be! Greg as always is Greg!

Other than that there is not much else news. I really do need to keep this updated more often as I have become really bad at it. I am sure there is no one that actually even reads this blog anymore... Oh well! Who cares! Its for me anyway!

Toodles all!
